DI Fitzsimmons and the team are sent back into action when a body of a man is found on an area of wasteland. On first impressions a stab wound to the neck appears to be the cause of death. But with no ID on the body and an unexpected autopsy report, the team are soon delving far back into the man's past, and into a life once forgotten as they try to piece together the victim's last movements. New acquaintances and a web of deceit bring a harsh reality as the team realise that people will stop at nothing to hang on to a life they hold dear.
