A new law banning fake social media indicators was passed by the Federal trade Commission on 10/22/2024. This report contains 6000 unlawful posts that were deployed to social media engagement pods. 2,508,558 indicators were found by creators engaged on posts using AI to simulate fake engagement. All of those engagements are violations of the FTC which carry a $50K USD fine per violation. That's roughly $125,427,900,000 USD.
