The Mystery of Orcival is an 1867 detective novel by the 19th century French writer Émile Gaboriau, in his Monsieur Lecoq series. Émile Gaboriau (9 November 1832 – 28 September 1873) was a French writer, novelist, journalist, and a pioneer of detective fiction.
