This book was written while Ilyse fought against stage IV cancer, and she completed the book during the last few weeks of her life—as she fought bravely. The poems grapple with the great unknown of death, and they sing with tremendous beauty about the love she held for this world. She is survived by her husband, Brian Turner (author of AJB's best-selling book, Here, Bullet). Brian will champion this book, helping Ilyse's words reach far and wide.
